On May 22, 2024, the Maryland Tourism Coalition held their Spring Seminar in the Heart of Chesapeake Country Heritage Area, Dorchester County, on the Eastern Shore. The seminar focused on the events of Maryland's Civil Rights Movement. Dion Banks, the keynote speaker, discussed Gloria Richardson and the burning of Pine Street. Attendees enjoyed lunch and a walking tour of downtown Cambridge.
