Prince George's County Heritage Area Leads Bus Tour of National Museum Professionals

 


On Thursday, May 16, 2024, the Prince George's County Heritage Area, coordinated a tour of Laurel, Maryland with a focus on newly installed Civil Rights public history signs, to twenty museum professionals from across the county attending the American Alliance of Museums annual conference in Baltimore. The tour was led by the Prince George's County Black History Program, Laurel Historical Society, and Anacostia Trails Heritage Area and included the Laurel Municipal Pool and St. Mark's Church, a long-standing institution in the historical Black neighborhood of The Grove in Laurel.
