Governor Moore Tours Future Site of River Park in the Passages of the Western Potomac Heritage Area

 


On September 26, 2024, Governor Moore was hosted by the Canal Place Preservation & Development Authority to tour the Passages of the Western Potomac Heritage Area specifically River Park, an area of approximately 2 miles along the Potomac River that will be designed to be an exciting new downtown river experience that also improves water quality, advance wildlife passages create new jobs, and increase awareness for the region as a premier outdoor recreation destination. Canal Place Preservation & Development Authority, with its partners and stakeholders, has secured over $8 Million and has an additional $25 Million dedicated in the Capital budget.
