Private First Class Purvis, Maryland Democratic Congressman Glenn Ivey, Washington Informer Publisher Denise Rolark Barnes and Prince George’s County Council member Jolene Ivey pose during a fundraiser at College Park Aviation Museum, highlighting Columbia Air Center, America’s first Black-owned airfield. The exhibit was funded in part by a grant in the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area by the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority.
